Another September is upon us, and much like last year, there is still so much unknown. Our goal as the Recruitment team at Western is to ensure that you can support your students as they prepare for post-secondary. Please know that you can reach out to us at any time by email, chat, or telephone.
We are so excited to share that we have launched a brand-new Welcome Website! It's going to look and feel different to what you're used to, so please make sure to check it out and update your bookmarks. The site answers three questions: What Can I Study? With overviews of each faculty (program-specific information coming soon!), and an explanation of how Western degrees work, this section will help your students explore their academic options. What is Western Like? Using the PLACE acronym you might recognize from our Choose Western presentations, we cover student life, careers support, residence, and more! What Are My Next Steps? This is the big one! Here you'll find admission requirements, financial aid resources, and our step-by-step application guide. The new Welcome Website is designed to replace our viewbook (spoiler - we don't have a viewbook this year!). This initiative will help save countless trees and reduce our carbon footprint. Since we all love a snapshot of what's new, here's a few key updates from us to get the year started:
In addition to weekly evening presentations, we are piloting a few daytime presentation options. If this is something you think your school might be interested in, please email indicating your school and the dates and times that work best for you. We will gauge interest and work to coordinate an event that several schools can attend simultaneously. Our Campus Tours and on-campus events remain paused for the remainder of the year. We hope to re-launch in the new year pending guidance from the Middlesex-London Health Unit, in addition to following university and government guidelines. Lastly, please make sure that we have your updated contact information. With many of our supports offered virtually again this year, we want to be sure that we're connecting with the right people. You can do that here. Sincerely, Chris and Lauren

Ms. GavelinWelcome to the world of scholarships and post secondary planning! I have been working with Valleyview students since 2005 as a Counsellor and their Scholarship liaison. I won't be able to tell you exactly what to apply for but I can give you direction on your journey through this part of high school. Archives
