That’s why Coast Capital is working to support people to access the education and skills training they need to prepare them for the jobs of the future.
Accessing post-secondary education is a big financial commitment and we’re here to remove one more obstacle on young people on their path to a better financial future. Awards are through, Indspire, Surrey Schools, Foundry, DiverseCity, Youth Futures and CFBC Discovery Day is back!

Services for Aboriginal Students HighlightsIn September 2021, Vancouver Island University’s ‘su’luqw’a’ Community Cousins Aboriginal student mentorship program is celebrated its 10th anniversary. In honour of this important milestone, we are sharing stories of people closely connected with the program. Since Ivy Richardson graduated from VIU in 2019 with a Bachelor of Arts, double minor in Xwulmuxw/Indigenous Studies and Physical Education, she has been busy founding her own business, Red Girl Rising, as well as a competitive boxing team, and co-founding a women’s empowerment group called Matriarch Resistance. In this blog post Ivy tells us more about her business, and what it means to live every day like a ceremony.
