Life Design is an approach to building a fulfilling and meaningful life that is based on the principles of design thinking. Design thinking is a process of problem-solving that involves defining a challenge, generating ideas, prototyping, and testing solutions, and implementing the most promising solutions. Students across Canada who completed the 2020 National Student Engagement Survey (NSSE) indicated a greater desire for career development, community connections and self-discovery on campus. Life Design programming will target important themes identified by students including navigating failure, getting unstuck, addressing barriers, and building confidence. The deadline for UCalgary's High School Entrance Award application is March 1, 2023. If you have a student that is looking to learn more about Financial Aid and Student loans, we recommend that they consider joining us for our Financial Aid, UCalgary and You webinar on February 15, 2023. BC Transcript Update: The University of Calgary is in the final stages of the implementation of electronic transcripts for students from BC. In the coming days, we will be emailing all students who have applied from BC to share this information and the BC Student Transcript Service site will be updated. Students will then need to request a new transcript through the BC Student Transcript Service which will enable UCalgary to request transcripts on behalf of the student on March 20th (after fall term grades) and a final transcript on July 31. Students in linear curriculum will continue to be able to upload transcripts until March 15th. This change will support decreasing processing timelines for students, and we are excited to have them in place.
