The Schulich School of Engineering is pleased to announce an Indigenous student pathway program intended to encourage Indigenous Peoples who are interested in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) to study at the Schulich School of Engineering. We will to foster an Indigenous-centred community in which students are provided with the requisite supports that promote their skill development, well-being, and success as engineering scholars. We are excited to announce two new majors that we will be accepting applications for this year. The Bachelor of Design in City Innovation is the first undergraduate degree in Western Canada that combines design thinking with a focus on innovative change in the physical and social infrastructure of cities. The Bachelor of Science in Sustainable Systems Engineering is a technical, transdisciplinary field focusing on how to design, integrate, and manage complex systems over their life cycles, with a goal of environmental, economic, and social sustainability. As with our other Engineering programs, students take a common for year before selecting a major. We offer guaranteed first choice of program to students who successfully complete all 10 technical common-core courses in their first year.
