Important Dates and Deadlines
● Application for Fall 2022 ○ Deadline to apply: January 31st, 2022 ● Entrance Scholarships ○ Deadline to apply: December 15th, 2021 ○ Supporting Documents Deadline: January 31st, 2022 ● Uggla Family Scholarship ○ The Uggla Family Scholarship is an exciting new pathway to a brighter, more diverse future. Made possible by a visionary commitment from SFU alumnus and business leader Lance Uggla (BBA ’85) and his family, this scholarship program supports 10 exceptional students per year to study at SFU who may not otherwise be able to afford a university education. ○ Applications will open in late December and close in late January. ● On-campus Housing Applications opened on October 1st, 2021. Offers will be made to admitted SFU students, based on the date of their Residence and Housing application. ● Documentation Submission ○ Beedie School of Business and Sustainable Energy Engineering - Deadline: February 7th, 2022 ○ All other SFU programs - Deadline: February 28th, 2022 You can find important dates and deadlines on our printable Counsellor Timeline attached. Your students have applied, what’s next? Students should follow the next steps outlined on our website to complete their application. Self-Report Grades ● Self-Reporting Portal opens on January 4th, 2022 and closes on March 31st, 2022. ● Support for Self-Reporting: ○ Download our step-by-step flowchart ○ Download our self-reporting FAQs ○ Watch the how-to video ○ Review the detailed description Deadline to Complete High School Courses ● All high school courses to be used in the admission evaluation process (whether completed online or in-person) must be completed by June 30th, 2022. Upcoming Student Events Applicant Information Sessions All applicants are encouraged to attend an online Applicant Information Session starting in January to learn how to successfully complete their application. Students who have submitted a Fall 2022 application will receive a direct email invitation from us in early January. Virtual Indigenous Preview Days This is a great opportunity for prospective Indigenous students to meet with current students and SFU representatives to learn more about SFU’s campuses, academic programs, social events, sports and recreation activities, and more. They’ll learn how to create community and a sense of belonging at a large university, and will have the chance to ask any other questions they may have about the student experience at SFU. Campus Tours & Interactive Map Do your students want to visit campus virtually? They can register for a Virtual Campus Tour led by our student ambassadors, or use our virtual map to explore our campuses from home. Students can also register for an outdoor only in-person tour of our Burnaby campus. Please note, these tours currently have a maximum capacity of six people.
