For the SECONDARY program, parents/students self-register through the link at the following Summer Learning page on the SD73 website. The registration link will be active the first week of June.
www.sd73.bc.ca/en/schools-programs/summer-learning.aspx PLEASE let your counsellors/families know that it is difficult for us to accommodate late registrations, so parents should complete the online registration by Tuesday, June 29. A common question is whether Secondary students can enrol in the full-credit version of a course that they haven’t taken before, to free up their timetable (or catch up a missing course). The answer to this is a firm “no” – students must have been previously registered in the course to enrol in secondary summer school. Parents will receive a confirmation email once they have registered (self-registration for secondary), and will be subsequently notified to confirm their student’s spot as soon as possible once classes have been configured. Summer School is for students in grades 8-12 who did not pass a core course and would prefer not to repeat the course the following school year.

Ms. GavelinWelcome to the world of scholarships and post secondary planning! I have been working with Valleyview students since 2005 as a Counsellor and their Scholarship liaison. I won't be able to tell you exactly what to apply for but I can give you direction on your journey through this part of high school. Archives
