I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy and that you have been able to navigate the many changes over the last few weeks.
I am reaching out today because Minerva has decided to move our Learning to Lead program for Grade 11 girls online this year. We were in touch with your school earlier this year to invite nominations of students interested in leadership. We received a record number of applications this year and because we are moving the program online, we have been able to accept every student to participate. Because we have capacity to offer this program to more students, we are reaching out again to invite more of your Grade 11 youth to participate in the online version of Learning to Lead. Offered through Zoom this year, the program will run from Monday to Friday with two-and-a-half-hour daily leadership sessions. We will run this program five times, to five different cohorts of young leaders, starting on May 4th, 2020. We are offering two different timeslots to better accommodate students (3-5:30pm or 7-9:30pm). Sessions will feature a combination of informative presentations, small group discussions with the other participants, and words of wisdom from inspiring guest speakers. We have designed this to be an engaging and interactive experience. High-level agenda for the L2L program: Monday Welcome and Starting with the End in Mind: Leadership Tuesday My Strengths Wednesday Owning My Values Thursday The Mentor Friday The Not So Subtle Art of Confidence and Closing Activities Learning to Lead will be offered five different times during the below five weeks and timeslots. Please share this with the Grade 11 girls in your school and encourage them to register for the week that works best for their schedule using the appropriate Eventbrite link. There are a limited number of spots in each of the five weeks and it is first come first served.
