MORE INFO 💰 Entrance Awards 💰 March 1 is the deadline to apply for CapU’s Entrance Awards. Some awards are for financial need and others are for students’ commitment to community involvement and leadership. Encourage your students to apply, as many awards go unclaimed each year and there is a good chance they could receive one. For more information, check out our Entrance Awards list. MORE INFO School of Motion Picture Arts and School of Performing Arts Open House Please tell your students and their parents to come explore Capilano University’s School of Motion Picture Arts and School of Performing Arts at our virtual open house on Saturday, February 13. The event will run between 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. They can RSVP at: www.capilanou.ca/fineartsopenhouse Program Spotlight: Arts and Entertainment Management The two-year Arts and Entertainment Management (AEM) diploma program prepares students for dynamic careers in the business side of the fast-paced and growing arts and entertainment industry. The first year features a broad range of topics, including surveying the arts and entertainment industry, computer applications, production, design and record label and festival management. The second year offers practical experience in external practicum placements. To ensure students graduate job-ready, CapU has practicum arrangements with 604 Records, Feldman Agency, Live Nation, BC Place, Arts Club Theatre Company, Vancouver Jazz Festival, Pink Buffalo Films, The Characters Agency and many others. AEM faculty are innovators in their fields, providing mentorship and helping students keep current on trends and issues in the industry. These connections will also help them build their industry networks while studying. Applications are open through April 6!
