One of the best ways to learn more about life after high school and why you might consider post-secondary is to experience it in person. From your local college to a larger provincial university, you can take a campus tour, and at this time of year, there many different Information Sessions you can attend. MESSAGE FOR PARENTS – Grades 10 - 12 The Post-Secondary education system is our province is one of the best in the world, but it can also be difficult to understand. To assist both students and parents, the new Post-SecondaryBC website has been developed by 30 colleges and universities in our province as a resource to help everyone learn more about our system and how it works, the terminology, history, credentials and the many different options that are offered. Accepting an Offer
The deadline to accept an offer of admission is May 1, 2020 unless otherwise stated in UAlberta Launchpad. Students can find instructions on how to accept their offer at uab.ca/accept. IB Predicted Grades IB coordinators are able to submit students' IB predicted grades to the University of Alberta. The form to submit IB predicted grades is available at uab.ca/ib. If you have questions please email [email protected]. Application Extension There is still time to apply in some of our programs! Visit uab.ca/apply for a full list of programs that are still accepting applications along with updated deadlines. Admitted Student Day Edmonton On March 28, 2020 students will be treated to lunch while they participate in faculty specific sessions, speak with program advisors, see campus, and envision their future as a UAlberta student! Admitted Student Nights New U of A students in Calgary and Vancouver are invited to an exclusive event in April to celebrate their admission to the U of A and to welcome them to the U of A family! Email invitations will be sent to admitted students in these cities. Encourage them to check their inbox! Vancouver Info Night Discover the U of A in your own city! We’ll be hosting an Info Night in Vancouver on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 for grade 10 and 11 students to start exploring their options at the U of A. Friends and family are also encouraged to attend! Indigenous Student Discovery Day The University of Alberta invites Indigenous students in grades 10, 11, and 12 to take part in a one-day UAlberta experience at our North Campus on April 29, 2020. Festival of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (FURCA) FURCA is an annual, campus-wide celebration of undergraduate research, showcasing the research and creative achievements of undergraduate students across all disciplines. Students are encouraged to attend and celebrate research while networking with current U of A students on March 11, 2020. More information can be found at uab.ca/apib. Augustana Campus Preview Days Join us for our last Preview Day of the semester on Friday, March 20th! You will have the opportunity to explore our campus in Camrose, enjoy a complimentary lunch, and learn what Augustana has to offer. We are also happy to arrange for you to visit on another date that works best for you. Please contact Lucas Hudec to determine the best way for you to visit so we can help you serve your students! Campus Tours Campus and Residence Tours as well as faculty one-on-one advising are available to be booked until April 24, 2020. We are offering Saturday tours on March 7 and April 18. If you know of any interested student, please let me know there is still time to apply to the Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering at TRU for Fall 2020, however, with limited seats once they are full we won’t be able to accept anymore students. BC English 12/English 12 First Peoples with a minimum of 67% (or equivalent). 3. Pre-Calculus 12 with a minimum of 67% (or equivalent). 4. Physics 12 with a minimum of 67% (or equivalent). 5. Chemistry 12 with a minimum of 67% (or equivalent).
