All the best, Meghan Book a virtual appointment | Register for an upcoming event Meghan Thompson Student Recruitment Officer Meghan Thompson Student Recruitment Officer University of Victoria | uvic.ca 250-853-3584 [email protected] I wanted to reach out to share a new self reporting grades flowchart (attached).
I know the process of self reporting grades can be complex, and students often have questions about what to self report, especially with the new quarter system. This will be very helpful for your students who applied to SFU and for the counsellors helping their students to completing their SFU application as well. I hope this flowchart helps! Please feel free to share it with your students. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. P.S. We are offering Applicant Information Sessions, which include a self reporting grades tutorial, throughout February. Students can register here: https://www.sfu.ca/students/admission/campus-tours/applicant-info-session/sessions.html My name is Emma Matusiak and I am the owner of Elm and Peony Events, here in Kamloops. As a past graduate student of School District 73, I felt compelled to give back to the community. So began my “prom”ise to Kamloops and help out in anyway I could. Please pass on this message as you feel is right, I do not want any student to miss out on this opportunity.
Spring will be in the air soon enough and with that comes thoughts of prom and graduation. For some these are exciting times, for others these are stressful times as they wonder how they will be able to afford that dress or suit. Enter the talents of Kamloops based businesses eager and happy to help those in need. Born out of the vision to see that every student have the opportunity to attend their prom, this initiative opens its arms to any Kamloops graduating student in need of a dress or suit. Elm and Peony Events believes graduation and prom are life changing occasions for students and every student deserves to experience it, regardless of financial burden. Community donors and partnerships with like minded Kamloops’ business make this possible. All items from dresses, suits, make up, hair and floral artistry come from the generosity of people in Kamloops, Renegade Beauty Co. ,Balay Hair Studio and Desert Roots Artistry. Donations can continue to be dropped off. Sponsorship is needed to get these items dry cleaned. Anyone interested should please contact Elm and Peony Events. Details will follow with where students will be able to select their dress and meet with the incredible team that has worked hard to put it together. We will be following all CoVid-19 guidelines and ensuring our one on one appointments are done with safety in mind. For more information on this initiative or how to recommend a student, please contact Emma Matusiak at 250.574.3204 or by email at [email protected] Thank you for taking the time to read my message and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
